We strongly recommend you not get connecting flights from the east Coast of Australia to meet your VB flight to the Cocos Islands on the same day, as there is often delays due to frost and rain. If the connecting flight is late at all, you will most likely miss your chance for good times & sunshine. Travel insurance is a MUST to cover any delays with connecting or non-connecting flights, luggage issues or injuries before or after your holiday.
There is very affordable airport accommodation with free shuttles. Perth is a lovely town also, so spending a day or two over west would not be wasted.
