Mark,
Clocked up more time on the water in 3 days than in 8 years back home. Good uncrowded waves (upwind) and warm water. What more do you need? Had a great time with a good bunch of guys and girls.
Steph
Had an amazing holiday with Zephyr. Really stoked to be up and riding on the board so quickly - reckon it must be the great tuition! Thanks for the time and patience and making the holiday so fun and social. Will be saving up for next years... don't want to leave!
Mel L.
Thanks for everything it was AMAAAAAAZING! Thanks to everyone else for all the fun nights. I am officially recharged, relaxed, sun tanned, scabbed up, bruised, battered & swollen - I loved it!

Loved the Lagoon Crossing, awesome winds - 26 hours on the water in 7 days - doesn't get much better! Thanks for the back roll lesson Mike. |
James 2009
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!
(James' policy on life)
1. what ever you're doing, it's better when you're wet.
2. give up on trying to 2nd guess the wind - You. WIll. Be. Wrong.
3. if there's no wind - there's always the Bar
4. smile even if no-ones taking a picture
5. On Cocos, 1 litre Gin $8, (fresh) milk $19 - you do the maths...
6. Go England!
I arrived a frustrated Kiter, struggling with everything and ready to quit for good. After the 1st week I was going up-wind, by the 2nd i was jumping and landing the odd back-roll. |

Thanks for the greatest experience of my life! I loved the whole trip from kiting over the manta rays and seeing all the coral and the fish in crystal clear water, practicing my tricks and getting pissed with you all. |
Elly; August 2009
Came here having never flown a kite & leaving as a sick chick kite boarder who (almost) doesn't crash! Amazing, unforgettable & will be raving to everyone back in Sydney. Thanks to Jen & Mike for looking after us & teaching me to love the wind. Hope we can come again. |
Dids; 14/08/09
Awesome Holiday. Improved kitesurfing a lot and had a great time at the Castle. Jen, Mike & DAve run a great show and the non-kiting stuff was cool too. Loved the break from work & will be back. |
Paul; 2008
What a great kiting holiday! it was everything I expected and a whole lot more! Mohawk, weird beard and a shaved chest to top it all off! Lots of kiting, loads of improvement in my skills, sore body and some war wounds. Thanks for organizing the tours and introducing me to the Cocos. |
Teya; 11yo 2008

Great Holiday, great to be part of the 1st official lagoon crossing to Home Island and Prison Island and back to Kite Beach. Fantastic group of people, the peanut gallery had some good advice to all kiters. Thanks to Jen & Mike - we all had an enjoyable holiday. |

Cocos Kiter's best 2007 kiting moments, places and memories.
Nic - The day Rob and I finally had the "click" moment, and stayed upwind- had to walk DOWNWIND! We grinned at each other like idiots! Also, on one of the multiple downwinders when I realised I was just kiting instinctually and enjoying the sun, and the sea life, and the scenery, instead of watching the kite, or board, or thinking about it all too much.
Robert - First successful downwinder! First time upwind and then being 100% consistent powering upwind. Achieved first sliding & carving transitions.
Hansie - The down winders are great, kiting from Kite Beach in the easterlys is great fun, the get together in the evening after a hard day's kiting. Sharing the trip with a great bunch of people adds to the experience.
Taz - Kiting 101 with Mike Lowery. My first kiteloop- nailed it on the second attempt and had one witness (jen). Riding blind for the first time and actually doing it reasonably well. Swimming with sharks - White tip reefies in the Rip and a heap of little Black tip reefies at Prison Island. DI, again. The Hangi
Jason - The feeling of accomplishment I got arriving in the shallows of the island on the opposite side of the lagoon with Dale.
Dale - When me and jason kite surfed across to the other island and best memory was the first down winder.
Robin - Probably those evenings as the sun went down.as we skipped over the flat warm waters, knowing that a candle-lit dinner outside with bottle of good red awaiting our landing? Or was it the pre-breakfast dawn kite on our last day, with fresh fruit and juice on the beach to follow? |
Taz; 20/8/07
After a lack of kiting at home last year, I was stoked with the conditions. learnt to ride unhooked for the 1st time, did my 1st kite loops.. BOOYAKASHA! Landed some unhooked railies, started jump transitions & also rode Blind. Haven't progressed this much since I started 2 1/2 years ago! Its going to be a long 12 months till next year...but i'll be back. |
Charl - August 07
Just wanted to say thanks so much for your great hospitality. I had a really awesome time. You have gone to a lot of trouble to make things easy for the rest of us - it doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks also for just being friendly and making it easy to be the 'random' guy. (my haiku)

My 1st ever holiday alone! WOW what a location, what a wild bunch, what an adrenaline rush. Someone said I was always smiling... what's not to smile about? Lots of wonderful images, feeling & sensations all stored up in the memory bank for a pick-me-up whilst living in the real world. Watch this space - I came a novice but this time next year.... Thanks for a great experience, excellent value and I recommend it to anyone wanting a fun time. |
