Ben Strowger – Owner, Stoke Coach & Duotone team rider.
Ben has been passionate about board sports since he left England. As a natural motivator and frother, he’s been leading people on adventures to snowboard, party and kitesurf for years.
His friendly and positive outlook on life is contagious and his passion for kitesurfing and adventure will blow you out of the water – literally.
Ben’s favourite trick on a kite is jumping high with his latest WOO measure (11.8m – #1 in Aus) and his best trick on the water is teaching people to kite with more style and better technique.
“keep it simple, make it stylish”
Ben works for our partner retail shop Ocean Addicts in QLD. Check out his Stoke Coach sessions for the ultimate inspiration and see why he gets people to follow him anywhere around the world for the stoke.
Since the inception of kiting and its popularity in Australia, Jen has been involved in the Australian kite scene; learning to kite on two-line kites in Venezuela, way back in the year 2000!
Jen started Zephyr Watersports in 2003 where she taught kitesurfing, windsurfing and kayaking for more than 6 years and was head coach on the Cocos Islands until 2017 with Zephyr Tours
Exploring many parts of the world, Jen is not afraid of adventure and trying new things. Leading reconnaissance tours to Vietnam, Fiji Cloudbreak, New Caledonia, Torres Strait and Cocos Islands, she is always on the look out for new and exciting tours to offer.
In 2013 Jen embarked on the biggest journey of her career – The Pink Torres Strait Kite crossing. After this epic journey of physical and mental resilience, she hung up her kite strings and now has the pleasure of watching her partners and dedicated team run the show.
It took us a while to get Levi on a kite while he lived and worked on the Cocos Islands, but once hooked, he never looked back.
Now co-owner of Zephyr Tours, he offers loads of local knowledge and experience in all watersports and has a special knack of finding the biggest lobster and the best coconuts.
Levi’s patience and simple explanations of technique is easily understood by all his students who have the pleasure of learning to kite with him.
Levi resides part time on Cocos and part time in the rest of the world; living by his Instagram handle of Kite_Work_Travel; in that exact order too.
We just can’t get Johnny out of the water; If he’s not kiting he is diving, kayaking, SUPing, spear fishing or surfing. This South African Mer-man joins our team to coach our intermediate to advanced kiters through new moves and big challenges. He’s polite, patient and will provide the best tunes for your holiday soundtrack.
Johnny loves riding overpowered and doing “old-school” style tricks. Jumping, sliding and board-offs are his favorite moves along with his new addiction to kite foiling.
Born on the ocean, Fabs sailed around the world with her parents before moving to Perth after Uni just so she could kitesurf.
Legendary in all disciplines of kitesurfing; foil, wave, freestyle and race, she also dabbles in surfing, wakeboarding and SUP.
Breaking up the “boys club” she is an exceptional coach with the enthusiasm and techniques to get any level of kiter performing at their peak.
Looking after us like family since 2013, Kimiko and Songhie are the owners of the first Eco Tourism business on Yorke Island.
Their hospitality and welcoming spirit is the driving force behind the authentic experience you receive when visiting Yorke Island to kitesurf with Zephyr Tours
Like all indigenous people, Kimiko and Songhie have close ties to the land and ocean and have created a tourist friendly beachside center for us to enjoy.
